The Elysian Fields Cross Country team brought home a district championship and a runnerup finish at the district meet Monday, and now begin training for the regional meet coming up later this month.
The EFHS Boys team won the district championship, finishing first out of seven teams, while the EFHS Girls placed second overall at the district meet.
Regionals are scheduled in Grand Prairie in two weeks.
At last week's junior high cross country championships in Tatum, Elysian Fields Middle School also had a good showing with Kaylen Commander finishing second overall with a time of 13:59. Morgan Lanclos finished 14th on the girls side. For the EF boys, Kolten Koehn finished 8th overall with a time of 15:13.
Great job by our Jackets!
