Four additional Elysian Fields High School students have received Academic All-State distinction with the release of the 2022-2023 Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Football and Student Trainer Team.
Student trainers Corrissa McPhail, Morgan Shaw, and Kamya Turner were named to the second-team, while Jacket Football's Wes Brown earned honorable mention.
These four students joined Cross Country student-athletes Keely Goelden, Jacob McCray, Drew Simms, Grant Sims, and Lily Jo Gronwald were named to the Academic All-State Cross Country team last month.
The THSCA Academic All-State Teams recognize high school athletes who excel in the following categories: GPA, class rank and ACT/SAT score. The students are recognized by the THSCA based on their scores in these categories.
