"Team Lexi" Charity Event Saturday

Team Lexi Charity EventThe Elysian Fields community is invited to come together THIS SATURDAY, July 25, for a special evening honoring Lexi Commander. The Team Lexi Charity Game will feature softball, family activities, food, raffles, and more—all to help support Lexi and her family.

The event will be held at the Elysian Fields Softball Fields, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. Admission is $3 per person, and all proceeds and donations will go directly to Lexi and her family.

Event Schedule

  • 4:30 p.m. – Gates Open
  • Activities begin with food and family fun.

Water Slide

  • $10 per child for unlimited use of the 16-foot water slide throughout the event.

Meal Deals

  • Burger meal (burger, chips, and water): $10
  • Hot dog meal (hot dog, chips, and water): $7

5:30 p.m. – Staff vs. Varsity Softball Game

Cheer on members of the EF coaching staff, teachers, and administrators as they take on the Elysian Fields varsity softball team in a friendly competition.

6:30 p.m. – Home Run Derby

Think you've got power at the plate?

  • $20 entry includes 10 pitches
  • Open to participants 13 years of age and older
  • Men's and women's divisions will compete separately
  • The participant with the most home runs will receive an EF merchandise basket

7:00 p.m. – Alumni vs. Varsity Softball Game

Former Elysian Fields softball players will return to the diamond to face the current varsity team in what promises to be an exciting reunion and showcase of Lady Jacket softball.

Additional Activities

Throughout the evening, guests can also enjoy:

  • Team Lexi T-shirt sales
  • Family-friendly activities
  • Opportunities to support Lexi and her family

Those who are unable to attend but would still like to contribute may make donations through Venmo: @KARIEYOUNGBLOOD.

Jacket Athletics Parent RemindersEFISD is gearing up for an exciting new school year, and we want to make sure all student-athletes and their families are prepared! Please take note of the following important dates and meetings scheduled for next week.

FREE Athletic Physicals

Thursday, July 30
10:00 a.m. – Noon
High School Auditorium

Free athletic physicals will be available for all students in grades 7-12 who need one to participate in athletics during the upcoming school year.

Football Parent Meeting

Thursday, July 30
6:00 p.m.
High School Auditorium

Parents of all football players, from every level of the program, are encouraged to attend. Coaches will discuss important information regarding the upcoming season, including schedules, expectations, policies, and program updates.

Volleyball Parent Meeting

Friday, July 31
5:30 p.m.
High School Auditorium

Parents of all volleyball players, at every level, are invited to attend this important meeting. Coaches will provide details about the upcoming season and answer any questions families may have.

Parent Participation Matters

Whether your family is new to Jacket Athletics or you've been part of the program for years, we encourage every parent to attend these meetings. Each season brings updates to schedules, procedures, and policies, making these meetings an important opportunity to stay informed and hear directly from your child's coaches.

Back To School Bash August 6!

Back To School BashHey Jacket Nation! You are invited to kick off the new school year at the Back to School Bash on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Old Elementary School.

This exciting community event is designed to help students and families prepare for the upcoming school year while enjoying an evening of fun and fellowship.

Attendees can look forward to:

  • 🤝 A great opportunity to connect with the community before school begins

ESSA Services in EFISD

Elysian Fields Independent School District is seeking input from area private non-profit schools interested in accessing ESSA services for the 2026-2027 school year.

Elysian Fields ISD will be available for consultation with area PNP’s via meetings scheduled with Katilyn Woodley.  She can be reached through emails to kawoodley@efisd.org or via phone calls to 903-633-1506.  Interested parties should contact Katilyn Woodley by July 24 for more information.

EFISD Substitute Training Scheduled for August 6

Save The Date Substitute Training August 6Elysian Fields ISD is inviting all current substitute teachers, as well as anyone interested in becoming a substitute during the 2026–2027 school year, to attend the district's required Substitute Training session. Attendance is mandatory for all current substitutes and individuals planning to substitute during the upcoming school year.

The training will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Elysian Fields High School Auditorium. This session will provide important information and requirements needed to serve as a substitute teacher in EFISD during the new school year.

Participants should bring two forms of identification along with their direct deposit information to complete the necessary employment paperwork.

Intent To Apply For Federal Grant Funds 2026-27

Elysian Fields ISD will apply for the  Title I, Title II, Title III(SSA), Title IV Federal Grants for the August 2026-May 2027 school year. Elysian Fields ISD plans to use these funds to support the intent and purpose of said grants.

Board of Trustees - November 3, 2026 Election Information

The Elysian Fields ISD Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected to serve, without compensation, for four year terms and represent the entire school district.  Elections are held in November of even numbered years.  All Elysian Fields ISD residents who meet eligibility requirements as specified in Board Policy BBA (Legal) and Texas Education Code 11.061 and 11.002 may run for a position.  Three trustees’ positions (places 5, 6, and 7) will be up for election on November 3, 2026.  Eligible residents residing within district boundaries in Harrison County and Panola County considering running for school board can access a free online training course through the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) which explains the roles and responsibilities of the position.
