Ground Game
Mrs. Leffall’s class recently wrapped up their Reading Language Arts unit From the Ground Up with a special visit from Mrs. Doris Leffall, who shared about her small farm. The last two units have focused on plants, farm animals, and crops, so this visit was a perfect hands-on learning experience for students.
Mrs. Leffall brought a variety of fresh produce from her farm, including peppers, turnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, Irish potatoes, and peas. Students were excited to see, touch, and learn more about the crops they had been reading and writing about in class.
This engaging activity helped bring classroom learning to life and gave students a deeper understanding of where their food comes from — truly learning from the ground up!
