Madi Owens Crowned EFHS Homecoming Queen 2025

Posted Date: 10/09/25 (9:00 AM)

Elysian Fields High School crowned Madison "Madi" Owens as the 2025 Homecoming Queen during this year’s festivities. Surrounded by family, friends, and classmates, Madison was escorted by fellow senior, Brandon "NuNu" Kennedy.

Madi is the daughter of Jami Owens and Oscar Garcia and is a familiar face across EFHS athletics. She serves as the captain of the Lady Jackets Volleyball Team, where she’s been a four-year varsity starter. In addition, she’s a dedicated varsity cheerleader, a two-year All-American cheerleader, and has played varsity softball for four years. Madi's leadership, talent, and school spirit make her a standout on and off the court.

After graduation, Madi plans to attend Stephen F. Austin State University, where she will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and follow her passion to become a labor and delivery nurse and OB/GYN.

Her escort, Brandon “Nunu” Kennedy, is the son of Kelley and Sky Kennedy and is equally impressive in his accomplishments. A multi-sport athlete, Brandon serves as the starting quarterback for the varsity football team, the starting point guard for the basketball team, and the starting shortstop in baseball. He also runs track, earning multiple honors including All-State Kickoff Returner and recognition as a four-time All-District player. After high school, Brandon plans to continue his athletic career at the collegiate level while majoring in business and marketing.

Congratulations to Madi and NuNu, and all who helped make Homecoming 2025 at Elysian Fields a night to remember!
