ELYSIAN FIELDS MIDDLE SCHOOL (2021-2022)

ART
  • EFMS Art students participated in the Red Ribbon Week poster contest and had cash prize winners in all three grades. The prizes were donated by area businesses. Positive messages about anti-bullying and a drug free life were included in students' original designs for the contest.
  • Middle school art students also had 250-plus artworks on display in the foyer of the auditorium at the annual Fine Arts Show in May.
  • Several students designed artwork to be displayed at Cafe Mojo, in "downtown" EF, and were given free beverages in exchange.
  • All three grades designed original paper patterns and developed those designs into hand-sewn "Felties," little felt pillows filled with stuffing. Several of them had never even threaded a needle before, so they learned from the most basic steps of threading a needle, tying off a knot, and a couple of different stitching techniques for assembling. They all turned out very unique and adorable!
