Fall On The Farm
Elysian Fields Elementary students in Mrs. Yarberry's class have been busy bringing learning to life through hands-on projects that connect classroom concepts to real-world experiences.First, students explored momentum and motion by using marbles to create beautifully painted fall leaves. This creative science activity blended art and physics, helping students see how force and movement can produce colorful, one-of-a-kind designs.
The students also wrapped up their reading unit “Farms: From the Ground Up” with a delicious final activity. After learning about crops, farming, and how ingredients make their way from the ground to our tables, students made their own bread and butter from scratch. This farm-to-table experience gave them a meaningful—and tasty—way to connect their learning.
From science to agriculture, our EFES students are discovering new ideas through engaging, hands-on learning that sparks curiosity and joy.
