Halloween week brought some extra spook-tacular learning to Elysian Fields Elementary as our second graders dove into hands-on STEM activities! 🎃👻
Students explored static electricity through a fun and festive “Walking Ghosts” experiment. Using only a balloon and a tissue paper ghost, they formed hypotheses about what might happen when the two interacted. After testing their predictions at least three times, they recorded their findings like true scientists.
This activity combined science and Halloween fun, helping students learn how static electricity works while encouraging curiosity, observation, and critical thinking. 🧡✨
