Homework - Oct. 2-6 
Reading- The story for this week is How Tia Lola Came to Stay! Study Vocabualry. Our reding skill this week is Cause and Effect. Test Friday.

Day 25 


On September 27, 2017 we talked about some plant deficiencies. Then we picked out a deficiency to dress one of our group members as. We stopped towards the end of the class period to listen to a guest speaker. The guest speaker came to talk to us about composting.

Day 26 


On September 28, 2017 we went outside and were told to pick out another deficiency, and to make a healthy and not healthy plant out of construction paper. We also had some students go and water the plants.

Day 24 


On September 26,2017 we talked about different relationships between groups of animals. such as: Predator/Prey Producer/Consumer Host/Parasite. We made pockets, and organised cards into them. Once we finished, we checked on our flowers we had dried out at the beginning of the year.

Day 23 


On September 25,2017 we talked about producers, consumers, prey, predators, host, and parasite. In our journals we made pockets for them and put examples in each pocket. We also wrote the terms down for each and gave more examples for each of the terms.

Homework 
Reading- this week we are reading My Brother Martin. Vocabulary for this week is found on page 42-43 and the story begins on page 48. Students are working on point of view and author's purpose. Our reading test will be Friday. The test will cover author's purpose and the 10 vocabulary words they should be studying.

Day 21 


On September 20th, 2017, we went on a nature walk. We loaded on the bus and went to our cross country course. On the way there, students were given a clipboard and a piece of paper. They were told to make a list of the herbivores, omnivores, carnivores, producers, and decomposers they saw. Students were told to walk slowly, pay close attention, and to be quiet. This way, they didn't miss a thing.
